Tailoring the learning experience, Marni creates strategies and lesson plans that will engage each student based on their skill level and musical aspirations. With positive feedback and gentle, constructive criticism, each student is provided appropriate challenges with the goal of constant progress.
Instruction includes: learning to read the musical staff, understanding rhythmic values, music notation, music theory, approaches to composition, piano performance, musical expression, music history and more!
Learning to play the piano provides a wealth of physical,
mental and emotional benefits. It improves mental health, increases
neuroplasticity (forming and reorganizing synaptic connections) and increases
all of the following – memory, attention span, spatial/math skills, test scores,
hand eye coordination, dexterity and fine motor skills. Playing the piano
provides students with a feeling of accomplishment and increased confidence.
